The Voice Choir goes international
The choir have just done their first overseas concert! We had the honour of being invited to sing at the Autumn Fair in the French town of Baron-sur-Odon in Normandy France organized by Baron-sur-Odon’s Twinning Association who twin with North Devon village Chittlehampton (see Chittlehampton Twinning for info).

‘Round the Square’ Festival, Torrington
Despite the fact that the ‘Round The Square Festival’ was a tad on the quiet side … it didn’t stop us creating some fabulous sounds in the middle of Torrington! The sun was shining and we had a great time enjoying a long lazy picnic between performances in the lovely Vicarage gardens!

Performance in Georgeham for local charity!
We were delighted to be asked, once again, to perform at Georgeham Church, North Devon to help raise funds for local charity Paul’s Fund. It was well attended and the choir sounded fabulous! An enjoyable evening and for a worthy cause!

The Voice Flash Mobs Barnstaple
A few of The Voice Community Choir decided it might be fun to Flash Mob Barnstaple! Starting in Barnstaple Library they received a warm welcome with a few songs … then out into the High Street for a some more singing!

We are now in our NEW VENUE
The Voice Community Choir has now started rehearsing at our new weekly venue Barnstaple Rugby Club on Mill Road. We have been made to feel very welcome by the club and are pleased to say that the space is great – plenty of room, facilities for members with disabilities, excellent for parking and it has its own bar … perfect after a thirst-making singing session!!

Concert at Pilton’s Green Man Festival
The Voice Community Choir had the opportunity to sing once again at the annual Pilton ‘Green Man’ Festival in Barnstaple. Following an afternoon of other choirs’ singing, we finished the afternoon’s line-up with a very colourful and lively performance. We had a great audience who showed their appreciation demanding an encore and we left them wanting more!!
